Tablescapes

Set the table first — the rest follows.

Elegant but cozy, every time. It starts with layering the centrepiece — greenery first, then candles, then the little pieces that make it yours — and mixing old with new: vintage and antique finds beside new pieces, mostly cost-effective, with one or two splurges that make the whole table feel special.

TABLESCAPE · CHRISTMAS · FOR A CROWD

My Christmas Tablescape — A Table That Seats 12

Here's how to get this Christmas look, set for 12: start with a greenery runner down the middle, then layer in pinecones and mini trees tucked in, nutcrackers, and the candlestick holders. Keep everything low so the table still feels open and everyone can talk across it. The tall candles in their holders lift the whole look, and a red-and-white floral centrepiece finishes it. It's elegant but cozy — my great-grandmother's china and vintage pieces beside new finds, mostly cost-effective pieces I reuse year after year, with one or two splurges (like the candlesticks) that make the whole table feel special.

TABLESCAPE · FALL

Cozy Fall Tablescape

Layer it for fall: start with simple but elegant linens, then pumpkins and gourds down the middle, fall florals tucked in for a pop of color, and candles glowing between them. The food becomes part of the table decor too — corn, apples, a basket of harvest fruit right on the table — so it feels full and classic, not fussy. Elegant but cozy, old pieces and new ones mixed together, mostly cost-effective pieces.

Drinks

One signature drink, and something for everyone.

A cocktail, a mocktail with the same festive flavours, and a hot cocoa bar for after dinner.

Holiday Cocktails

One signature drink is enough — a red cranberry cocktail with a candy cane and a sprig of rosemary, made in a jug so you are not playing bartender all night.
